“A woodland space can be a highly versatile asset if managed correctly. Therefore, building a robust management plan should be essential. We provide advice, land mapping, ecological surveys and management plans to guide our clients towards achieving their vision”
Undertaking site mapping is the first stage in creating a robust woodland management plan, which will guide future management practices such as establishing site boundaries, quantifying assets, site layout and design and risk management through tree safety inspection. Our land surveyors and drone pilots can produce detailed topographical site surveys and geo-referenced high-resolution aerial imagery for site mapping.
Ascertaining your sites ecology and characteristics are also essential for ensuring that any protected species and habitats are safe-guarded when planning and undertaking management work and site access. Our ecologists are fully qualified and licensed to undertake the following ecological surveys, assessments and consultation:
- Phase 1 habitat and Phase 2 NVC vegetation surveys
- Protected species surveys
- Invasive species assessment
- Biodiversity offsetting
- BREAAM and Code for Sustainable Homes
We work closely with our clients in developing a holistic approach to woodland management, enabling the proposal to work harmoniously and productively with the sites ecology and characteristics.
